Kidnapper Took Four Girls And Killed Himself With Explosives In Central China

A Chinese man with explosives entered the a women's dormitory and took four girl students as hostages at night on November 8. He demanded to see the police chief and asked for a ransom of RMB 1 million (USD 125,000). At about 2:30 am today after several hours of talks with the police, the man suddenly detonated the explosives in the room and killed himself. One of the hostages was injured.
