
35952, MAUI, HAWAII - Friday November 20 2009. Artist Vladimir Kush was the victim of a vicious assault as he walked along the busy and popular tourist town of Lahaina, Maui. The world renowned artist, who was on his way to a gallery exhibition, accidently bumped a taxi as he was crossing the road on foot. The taxi driver stopped, got out of his cab and approached Kush. The two allegedly argued until Kush was reportedly hit over the head with the cabby's handheld radio. The taxi driver then attempted to leave the scene as his victim was left bleeding from a laceration to his forehead. Kush supposedly tried to get grab the driver who was already driving off which resulted in the artist being dragged along the road for a short period. Tourists watched in horror as Kush lay bleeding for 15 minutes before emergency help arrived. Front St, Lahaina was then closed for almost an hours while medics tended to the victims head, who was later taken to hospital via ambulance. Picture: PacificCoastNews.com
